Wounded Warriors recently hosted the Loehr Family at one of our three Wounded Warriors' Bahama Bay condominiums in Orlando. Jeff and Nikki's letter captures the very essence of our service to the families of our wounded warriors.

The Claude Family
I was injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq on February 20th, 2006. As a result I lost my right leg above the knee. During the majority of my hospital stay my wife and I were separated from our children and when we were finally brought back together our entire lives had changed. My children spent a lot of time in the hospital with me. I had to learn how to walk again and it was not an easy task. Even though I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, we spent a lot of time in the hospital or at home with my being too sore to walk at times. As a family we have survived a lot and thanks to your organization we were able to begin the New Year as a healthy happy family in the happiest place on earth: Disney World. Thank you for providing such an amazing trip for our family. It was a dream to be able to take our children to Disney World. We were able to smile and laugh and play and forget how hard the last year had been on us. We sincerely thank you and all of the wonderful Americans who helped to make this dream come true. We will remember this trip for a lifetime. Thank you for your caring and support. You are forever in our hearts. Christopher Claude |
